We are looking for a Head Of Business Development to accelerate our offline businesses solutions proposition, develop the team and take Business Services to the next level; targeting new markets, new industrials whilst retaining and growing existing accounts that BiGDUG can facilitate.

 

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for proactively sourcing new business and grow existing business within the organisation. Strategy development in Offline Sales is key and you will build on existing and new relationships with major accounts and leverage relationships when opportunities arise...utilising in-house Marketing support.

We believe the opportunities for growth are endless and you will identify emerging markets, keep industry trends in addition to working with the Product team to identify new offerings. You will lead a team of Field Sales Managers and Support team, taking overall ownership of the sales pipeline ensuring there is an appropriate number of leads and deals in the pipeline to achieve sales targets. You will develop trading plans, manage sales volumes objectives, margin objectives and conversion rates with the field-sales team.

Owning the channel performance, you will need to accurately forecast sales and margin in addition to ensuring visibility within the CRM system including deal information, contact information, all sales events and activities and client status. 

As a member of the BiGDUG senior management team, you will be required to present vertical Business Plans and Large Deal Review sessions with the business to ensure that we provide best-in-class experience as well as contributing on wider topics.


What you will bring

You will have demonstrable experience in Sales and Account Management and exceeding targets. You have built new business development strategies and implantation plans that have added value to the top and bottom line.

KPI driven and results orientated, you are an experienced leader and has built/developed successful field sales teams. You have experience in managing day to day sales, trading operations in a multichannel environment including developing and implementing trading plans, promotional plans, incentives and other activity to drive performance.

You will have a strong understanding of online data and analytics, processes and tools, testing practice and interpretation plus the ability to draw statistical significance from relatively small data samples (eg using weightings, moving averages, reasonable assumptions). In addition, you will have a good breadth of understanding of major commercial levers e.g. margin management, brand ROI/ROAS, cost to serve/total cost of ownership, EBITDA delivery. Experience of sales pipeline management tools (preferably Hubspot) is key also.

You are comfortable and experienced in delivering against large multi-million-pound annual targets and cognitive of requirements when negotiating contracts of this nature. Significantly experienced at selling solutions and maximising share of wallet in a recurring revenue model, you are passionate about being part of a growing SME and playing a significant role in the next chapter of our success story.

Relevant product or sector experience would be advantageous, as would B2B experience.
